Republicans, will you tell the youth how raising the retirement age will save Social Security?

So tell the youth how a larger worker pool with the wage competition to match is going to make it easier to get a job with a living wage. I would rather have good wages then Social Security. Republicans are the fading generations, why would they care about wages later?

I am educating my children not to count on a government program, or hand out as a means of retirement. They will take care of themselves, and whats left of my estate after the government steals their 75% will also help them. This concept is called self reliance, a skill many need, but few have.

You will only get living wages when people quite buying foreign made products and manufacturing comes back home. The first step to that is to ban the unions. Plan and simple.

Personally I would rather see Social Security phased out. Let the people who are about 55 and older collect it when... More

I tell my kids SS is a rip-off. Firstly, the govt has no biz in retirement. They buy votes with it. People should have the responsibility to provide for their golden years. AND get to keep & pass on all they save during a lifetime.

You and me both, brother, but the democrats won't let us do away with Social Security and manage those tens of thousands of dollars ourselves. In fact, wasn't it a Republican, Bush, who suggested we do something like this? Wasn't a Republican, Bush, who tried to bring Social Security into the modern age and was... More
