Can a bankruptcy on my credit prohibit me from becoming a paralegal?

Due to a failed business and mounting debt, my wife and I just filed for bankruptcy. After considering many career choices in a bad economy, I have decided to pursue a paralegal certificate at a local community college. I already have a master's degree but my fear is that I won't be able to find a paralegal job because of the bankruptcy. Any advice?

You can open your own paralegal business if you can't find a position in a legal firm. The bankruptcy may be a hindrance in some law firms, or it could be an asset in a BK law firm. You can always apply, the worse answer you can get is a NO.
