Why do people keep calling it the Ground Zero Mosque?

Don't they know it's 2 blocks away and around a corner?

It's too long to call it the "2 Blocks away from Ground Zero Mosque".

Ground zero is big. Debris and smoke went alot further than 2 blocks. That entire area is ground zero. Try bldg a church in the middle east, see if they don't put you on the chopping block.

It did have a landing gear punch a hole in the building. I would consider that part of ground zero.

Don't they know it will have a basketball court and an art gallery? That it will have an art school and cooking classes? That it will have a day care center?
Answered By: Paulina Paulino - 8/16/2010
Because a pc of landing gear entered that building during the 9-11 attack.

When creating propaganda, it is necessary to use a short name, preferably one that focuses on something small like a location, a specific religion, etc. Ground Zero Mosque works quite well for those purposes, however fallacious the term is. It isn't at ground zero, it is more than a mosque, but it's easier to stir up... More

Forget the fact that it's not a mosque at all (it's a community center). Forget the fact that it's not at ground zero (2 1/2 blocks away). Forget the fact that you can't even see it from where the WTC once stood. There are something like 1.2 billion Muslims in the world and it's also the world's fastest growing... More
