Is taking a break between graduation and medical school a good idea?
Story is, I'm a broke college kid that's going to graduate from UBC this year and I want to go straight to Medical School and blow all of my non existent money again. Is it a good idea for me to take a break and get a job for a couple of years and then go to Med School?

If you haven't applied yet, taking a year off could actually make you a better applicant. During that year you could do paid research, more volunteering, basically adding to your list of ECs. It really depends on you and why your reason for wanting to take a break. If you want to take a break to save up some money or just take some time off to catch up on your personal life, I think it could be a good idea.
