What to do with my BA in Psych?

I have been searching for case worker jobs the past 9 months and I cannot even get a job interview. Should I just switch careers or maybe go into grad school? Any suggestions?

You are on the right track with the case manager search. A BA in Psychology will be a good fit in that field. Also, if you check any hospitals with mental health units, your degree may be handy as a patient assistant. I like the grad school idea too but there are so many options for psych majors. A local mental health facility, the psych ward at the hospital, etc. I plan to finish my BA in psych and get a masters in school counseling.

It doesn't matter what you do with your BA in Psych if you're not happy doing it. You should follow your dreams and work in a field or area of employment which you will find satisfying and rewarding. If that happens to be related to psychology, then your chosen major was appropriate and so much the better... More
