Is CMMI level important for developers?

I am about to join a CMMI level 3 certified company. My likely role is j2ee developer.How important is the CMMI level for developers? Does the CMMI level of this company matter for my future jobs?? Also, how long is it advisable to stay in this company?

It does imply that there will be a certain amount of predictability in the structured processes they've established and hopefully less confusion. For some developers they may not enjoy the extra level of documentation and process required to do their job, but others thrive in having things a little bit more organized... More

Not for your current role, However to progress in your future career it is very important to know. Managers and seniour staff should have a complete knowledge of the CMM process.
