I Want To Join The Military But I'm Afraid That They Would Sent Me To The Middle East, What Should I Do?

I really don't think you want to be Infantry and you do sound a lil bit chicken to me. (I only say this because) if you didnt want to fight, I can handle that and highly respet it. My problem is this you "WANT TO BE INFANTRY" in name... but not "BLOOD". Then WHY CHOOSE INFANTRY. There are NO INFANTRY jobs that keep... More

I think you are missing the point of joining the military. They own you and can send you anywhere anytime.

The mission of the Infantry is to close with and kill or capture the enemy through maneuver and firepower...pretty self explanatory You need to look elsewhere...stay out of my Army

If you join the military, you are likely to be sent anywhere. There are no "safe" jobs in the military. Get some other job if you want to stay alive.

Infantryman will be over there in the fighting, that's their job. If you don't want to see combat then join intelligence or the reserves.

I wanted to avoid being drafted (1969) and sent to Vietnam as a soldier or marine, so I joined the Navy. I liked the lifestyle so much that I stayed for twenty years. It wasn't all fun every day, but there were more good days than bad days, and now I have a pension rolling in every month.

First, everyone wants to live a full life. But being an infantryman means going out to where the bad guys are. You can't be an infantryman and stay in the rear.

This a good trolling attempt. I have to say you've angered a lot of people. If you are serious however you are very stupid if you think you can be in infantry and not do a thing.

FEAR NOT! For our divine leader, Obama the Chosen One, has decreed our mission in Iraq completed! That means you'd only have to worry about Afghanistan, ...which is an even BIGGER shit-hole than Iraq!
