If jobs are the most important issue for this election, then how will they be created?

How will the politicians and government be creating jobs? Aren't jobs something created by the private sector? How can the government compel the private sector to do anything?

You're right that jobs are created by the private sector...however, the taxes and regulations imposed on the private sector by the government affects job creation.
