Unfortunately, younger folks just out of high school have little chance of succeeding in New York, at least to begin with. It is so expensive to live in NYC, and without a college degree, it'll be challenging to find a well paying job. My advice, go to college.

This is what i tell every teenager, its not like in the "movies". Unfortunately NYC area is very very expensive and it's not doing so great, economically speaking. Either go to college get a degree and have a job lined up in NYC, or work where you are, save up some money and move.
