Would being an American A&P mechanic working outside the country be a good idea?

I am in school getting my A&P, and I've been hearing its been turning into a not so good job here in the US. So Ive been thinking (correct me if I'm wrong) since an American A&P needs to sign off American planes in other countries, wouldn't other countries that have a lot of incoming airliners from America be looking for American A&P, and be more than happy to hire?

I would get experience working a specific aircraft like the previous answerer suggested, do a few years at their facility and then look for overseas work. Many of those positions are sewed up for years to come with American A&Ps with their AI. You might be lucky enough to get to another country but I believe they are on "bid" for the next opening and they usually send someone who has senority and highly experienced... More
