Dad, the protein lover with high cholesterol?
All my dad likes to eat is proteins. Hambers, pork, sausage, chicken, beef, tuna, sardines, salmon, peanut butter, peanuts, eggs (with yolk), cottage cheese, all kinds of cheeses. Sweets are always going to be cookies, mainly chocolate mint and thick buttery chocolate chip cookies. And the only junk food he most likely eats for lunch is plain old potato chips. The fatening toppings he commingly use is italian dressing for steak salads, and mayo for his tuna. If it has butter in it, he will like it. He is a coffee addict. Now, he did have a body building life but that was in the past. Doctors tell him is has very high cholesterol. He will not listen to anyone and he assumes the cholesterol is from his own body which produced it. He thinks the cholesterol is a natural occurrence in him. No one in his family had that but its what he thinks. He thinks as long as he works out, the saturate fat and cholesterol will flush out. He is 54 years old. Now he is so used to eating all these proteins, he will not stop. Like, everything in the kitchen is HIGH in saturated food with good protein content. I am his son and I am getting sick and tired of eating these thick saturate foods. Its everywhere. I free of smoke, drugs, alcohol, caffeine addiction (coffee or soda), and keep great care of my teeth, body, and eyes. Now my dad preparing me for a heart attack in the future? There is nothing to stop him from eating high proteins and other foods full of high saturated fat and for coffee drinking. Any advice?
