How would early termination of a Peace Corps assignment affect my chances in law school/job in the states?

I'm currently in eastern europe. I suffered a death in the family, and I would like to return home. How big of an effect would this have on my chances of securing a good job and admission into law school? Ive only been here for 4 months.

It's been my experience that only other RPCVs actually know the in's and out's of COSing and what it means. We had several Volunteers quit for legit reasons like yours. Plus several other countries' programs get terminated for safety reasons. All of these are good people in bad situations. No one was questioned about... More

Your experience there will most likely help you a tiny bit. The law school admissions people at my school don't care about withdrawls on your accademic transcript.
