If i take a hunters education course in one state will it go over to another state?

I am new to bow hunting. I live in illinois and work in Indiana. i wanted to take a hunters education course they have at my job but im wondering if it would carry over to illinois?

If you take a course that is recognized as an IHEA (international hunter education association) course (which is what most states require before you get a license) then you are good for all 50 states and most of Canada. After you get your license in the state where you live, another license can be purchsed in any state as a non-resident, which is more expensive.

You're gonna have to check the state regulations where you're wanting to hunt. I would suspect that the states are reciprocal, but you should check first because not all states are reciprocal

All 50 states recognize hunter education certificates from the other 49 states. There may be some requirement that you live in IN to take it there or there may be some requirement that you take it in IL if you live there, but probably not.
