Prostitution is illegal in Britain, yet why has the British media made their lives into shows?

Secret Diary of a Call Girl on ITV2. By producing such shows, only shows support for that illegal job. Is there any show called "secret diary of a drug dealer?". Prostitution destroys society, and makes marriages turn to divorce and affecting the children. Prostitutes should be rehabillitated like drug users. How many of my answerers support such people and have been customers? No abuse if you disagree, express you answer to revert me to your thinking.

Prostitution is not illegal in the UK, only solicitiing. I would like to see your evidence for it destroying marriages. I think it more likely destroys the lives of the sex workers who often have no other ways of feeding their drug habits - its not all Belle du Jour.

Murder is illegal, as is robbing a bank, yet both are depicted by the media in films and television series's. It's just one of those things you see. And yes I do agree with you, prostitution does ruin lives and its destructive towards society in general. Also I've never been a 'customer'!
