Where does the constitution give the government the responsibility to create jobs?

Why do BOTH parties think that creating jobs is the government's responsibility?

Try looking up things like Roosevelt's "new deal", this is where there was a major shift in government policy towards this idea. The Constitution does not specifically say anything about creating jobs. However the government is responsible for the conditions that allow for the creation of jobs. For example: Security, Regulation of Interstate Commerce, International Relations and Trade.

nowhere. because both major parties have very loose interpretations of the constitution and want to run the entire economy, libertarians however believe the free market works.
