Valley medical college or university of Phoenix? Associates or bachelor's?

I'm looking to go to college to become a practical nurse. I currently live in salem oregon I do not want to travel one or two hours to go to colleges in Portland. the closest schools to me are Valley Medical College and University of Phoenix. I've heard that once graduating from VMC you do not get hired because they say the school does not teach well and they rush everything. I looked online to find out more of Uni. of Phoenix and most of there classes are online i would really like to go to classes I think i could focus more on the material other than being home and having distractions around me. I would like to know some opinions of people that went to either school. Also I'm not too sure on the difference about associates or bachelors? whats the difference and which would be better to obtain?
