Is the economy still effecting Police Officers jobs?

I'm currently in the Army as a Military Police Officer and I get out in a few years. I was wondering if in a few the years Jobs for becoming Civilian Police officers will be better or still pretty bad.

Sure it is. In a few years, it might be better or worse. There are still, and probably always will be, jobs available to well qualified candidates willing and able to relocate. It is absolutely still having an effect now. As for "a few years" from now... no one has a crystal ball.

In the UK is will be having a huge impact on recruitment. It has not actually kicked in yet as they are using voluntary redundancy for civilian staff and not renewing officers contracts if they have reached their 30 years service.
