Any tips for a good letter of application for a Primary Teacher?

Hi I have recently qualifed as a Primary teacher but I didn't even make an interview. I looked at all of the websites that gave tips and followed them, but I became really disheartened that I did not get one interview. Has anybody got any good tips or good suggestions on things to write in a letter of application? Thanks
