How would you answer to this job interview question?

Hi, I am preparing myself for Santander telephone interview for a position of branch customer service adviser. The question I am not sure about is: Give an example when you have had to manage a checkout with consistency at a pick time? English is not my first language and I am not sure I understand the question in full. If anyone had similar question please point me in a right direction as to how to build answer for it. Thank you in advance.

they are looking for your ability to handle the stress of a lot of customers (in line at once and more than likely getting frustrated)because it says peak time. If you have worked as a cashier, return clerk, lay-away clerk or customer service agent during ...say ...Christmas shopping season... More

I speak English and this question does not make sense to me. What is a "pick time". Is this an expression unique to this industry?

Do you mean at peak time? If so it would be asking how you managed to keep ques flowing despite it being busy.

I think there might be a typing error here. I guess they mean at PEAK time. The question should read Give an example of when you have had to manage a checkout at PEAK time? Make sense now?
