What religion pays their priest the most?

If priests get paid, do they pay income taxes like the rest of us.? Then isn't religion a business? Then why shouldn't that business pay taxes like the rest of our businesses?

Religious leaders generally must pay income taxes. There are special rules for orders that require a vows of poverty, but in most religions anyone receiving income does pay income taxes. The senior pastor of my church accepts no salary at all. He does receive income from books, tapes, etc. that he has authored.

Well, it's true that 99% of religion is a business, but religion has long been a third rail topic when tax status is discussed.
