How many hours do medical lab techs work?

Obviously it varies. I'm interested in earning an associates degree in medical laboratory technology and then going onto complete pre med requirements and an undergrad degree. How many hours do medical lab techs work? Do many work part time?

It's possible to find part time MLT positions in bigger labs to allow for school time. You could work second shift or weekends in hospital labs probably. A med lab technologis/clinical medical scientistt is a bachelors degree, not an associates. That is a med lab technician (MLT); a lessor paid position. Most labs are staffed by full time people (and most are 8 hr shifts); so how realistic that is is hard to say; you may get lucky & find a part time weekend job.
