Does getting a degree at a private university hurt my chances of eventually teaching at a public college?
Does getting a degree at a private university hurt my chances of eventually teaching at a public college? I currently hold a BA in history from a private Christian university in Memphis, TN. This university is fully accredited. My future goals are to teach English at the college level. I am most interested in teaching at a public community college. My question is does getting a degree at a private university hurt one's chances of eventually teaching at a public college?
