Why is it difficult for me to find a job?

I have two years working as a full case selector in Staples and I recently obtained my pharmacy technician license. I have applied for many different jobs. I applied at pharmacies, distribution warehouses, local stores as a cashier. Still no response. And I'm thinking because its the economy. But I'm also thinking, could it be because I got fired from my last job, or because I cannot provide references, or because I have no experience in customer service? Can someone tell me?

Never tell them upfront you were fired unless they ask.........then say something like "it was a very bad fit for my skills" "manager and I had poor chemistry" "... More
