At my job, am I expected to do the job of 3 people and get in trouble if I can't get it done?
I work at a marketing agency and we work on 7 accounts. Fully staffed, we should have a Director, Supervisor, Account Executive and Assistant. Now it's just me and the Director. Am I expected to do the job of 3 people and get in trouble if I can't get it done?

Yes you can get in trouble - that is, either disciplined or fired - if you can't perform the duties expected of your postion. Workload is not mandated by law, you have no legal protection. You are probably expected to assume some of the duties of the other positions but you are not required to or able to do all the work volume of 3 peoples jobs. Either the business has slowed down and they do not need 4 people or they had 2 people quit and haven't been able to fill their positions yet. Take this as an... More
