King James Version Bible
1 Peter Chapter 2
11. Dearly beloved, I beseech [you] as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
1 Corinthians Chapter 7
1. Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: [IT IS] GOOD FOR A MAN NOT TO TOUCH A WOMAN.
2. Nevertheless, [to avoid] fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
7. For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.
32. But I would have you without carefulness. HE THAT IS UNMARRIED careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:
33. But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please [his] wife.
34. There is difference [also] between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please [her] husband.
35. And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.
36. But IF ANY MAN THINK that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of [her] age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sinneth not: LET THEM MARRY.
37. Nevertheless he that standeth stedfast in his heart, having no necessity, but hath power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, doeth well.
38. So then he that giveth [her] in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth [her] not in marriage doeth better.
8. I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.
9. But IF THEY CANNOT CONTAIN, let them marry: For it is better to marry than to burn.
Matthew Chapter 5
28. But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Luke Chapter 16
18. Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from [her] husband committeth adultery.
Galatians Chapter 5
19. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are [these]; ADULTERY, FORNICATION, uncleanness, LASCIVIOUSNESS,
20. Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21. Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told [you] in time past, that they which do such things SHALL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
1 Corinthians Chapter 4
14. I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn [you].
James Chapter 1
12. Blessed [is] the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
13. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
14. But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
16. Do not err, my beloved brethren.
Ecclesiastes Chapter 12
13. Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this [is] the whole [duty] of man.
Matthew Chapter 22
37. Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38. This is the first and great commandment.
39. And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
1 Timothy Chapter 1
5. Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and [of] a good conscience, and [of] faith unfeigned:
Psalms Chapter 18
2. The LORD [is] my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, [and] my high tower.
1 Timothy Chapter 2
5. For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6. Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
John Chapter 10
23. And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch.
30. I and [my] Father are one.
John Chapter 14
15. If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Matthew Chapter 28
20. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.
