What degree do you need to become a music manager?

I am working on my BS degree for business and general management. I know there are many jobs I could qualify for, but I was wondering to be a singer or actors manager, am I in the right field or would I have to be in the music field? And also sports managers? Football and basketball players? Would I qualify for that? Or is there a sports field you are supposed to take?

Business and general management will give you a fine background for managing musicians. Of course you will need to devote plenty of time to learning the music business as well.
