boat burned in a fire by negligence of the bowner next to me.?
THE BOAT NEXT TO ME CAUGHT FIRE DUE TO OWNER NEGLIGENCE, HE RAN A HOUSE EXTENSION CORD INTO HIS BILGE ON A GASOLINE POWERED BOAT. iT RAINED THAT NIGHT AND BURNED, CAUSING DAMAGE TO MY VESSELL. i HAVE PICTURES OF THE CORD, A FIRE MARSHALL REPORT AND HIS INSURANCE IS IGNORING ME. I DID NOT HAVE INSURANCE. WHO DO I SUE. DAMAGES ARE IN THE EXCESS OF 25,000. i ALREADY KNOW I SCREWED UP WITH NO INSURANCE. WHAT ARE MY ALTERNATIVES

You need an attorney. You may not only be able to sue the owner and his insurance company, you may also be able to sue the marina.

Marinas usually require a boat owner to carry insurance at all times while renting a berth. If you didn't keep any insurance in place, you're pretty much out of luck. You definitely need to seek some professional legal advice, preferably on a 'no-win-no-fee' basis. I can't say as regards the USA - surely a highly litigious country, as indeed is the UK nowadays, but here in the UK, you sue the perpetrator and hope they are insured, or have some money of their own, for your redress...
