Does this sound like anti personality disorder? Wikipedia was NO help. please please!?
BEFORE YOU LEAVE CUZ THIS IS SO LONG.. READ THIS::: Most of this is backstory and real life examples. You can skip all of that if you want, just please read his symptoms and reply with your thoughts. Sorry its so long.. I had no idea it was getting so big. I'm trying to figure out if my dad has this. He lost health insurance before he was able to be diagnosed and the lady who was seeing him refused to let me pay CASH to have him diagnosed (on a side note, do you think that was wrong?) On wikipedia, it said people with this disorder typically get in trouble with the law and don't know right from wrong. But my dad does, so idk if he has this or not.. if not, please give your best guess so I can continue to research on my own. Heres what he's like.. He talks very quickly and constantly. He is very hyper. He gets very irritated if people do not move as quickly as him. He says we're being "slow" and this can sometimes end up being a very abusive verbal or physical fight. He is violet, or can be. He is known to hurt himself. He will hit himself in the head with objects (a hammer for ex. true story) during or right after an argument. Why does he does this? He wont' tell me why. He talks about very taboo or sensitive subjects.. such as racism (he is racist, tho he won't admit it), homosexually (he is against it, and is very open to tell anyone), anti-government, i****************s, drugs ect. My friends say "How do you know he's not just a Big A-hole". Because when I have confronted him and had a heart-to-heart with him about this, he honestly does not see why this is wrong. He doesn't understand that the things he say, can be very hurtful or sound extremely hateful Really great example (skip this if you want, but good story) -- We were at walmart. He saw 2 black men in baggy jeans and acting like thugs. He approached them, and sparked up a conversation about racism and how black people should not call themselves the N-word because he can't call them that and that is wrong. Its "reversed racism" and went on for about 10mins - no joke. He didn't even introduce himself first. He just invited himself into their conversation. When we left, he was upset they wouldn't talk to him and told me "That is why I don't like black people. They think their better than us. They arn't. We're equals. And that proves my point right there" He honestly doesn't "get it". Lastly, other than being so far outside the social norm he's almost alien-like, he is very paranoid (idk if thats a symptom or not). He always thinks someone is listening in on him. When I was younger, he sued the government (yes, and he won) because one of their employee's hit him with their truck and permantly disabled him. Years after the trial, he still believes they are bugging his home and every car sitting outside is a "government employee watching the house". I'm sorry this is so long, and I hope I didn't annoy to many of you lol. This is very important to me, and its going to be bothering me for a long time.. until I can get him into a REAL medical center and get him tested. But doing my own research is giving me some good insight. Anyways, thank you all very much. I promise to give best answer to whoever gives the most valuable information. Links to informative sites are much appreciated. Thank you!
