Why are retail managers such low quality people?

My first job was working at Wal-Mart. The Assistant Managers and Store Managers, total s******s. Then, I worked at Domino's Pizza. The District and Regional Managers, absolutely d-bags. During college and shortly thereafter, I worked as a teller at major bank. The area and regional presidents, complete scum of the Earth. I know what you're going to say. Low pay. This simply isn't true, the store manager of Wal-Mart, District Manager of Dominos and area President of the bank make more than most of you reading this. Six figures plus, each. So, why is this? "Managers" are good at telling people what to do and setting expectations they themselves could not meet. This frustration is why I don't work in this type of industry anymore. dob - ask anyone who's worked for Wal-Mart, for Target, for Home Depot, for a megabank, for a fast food franchise what they think of their managers.

If you think that all of those managers are s******s it's possible that the problem isn't management. There could be a problem with the employee.
