Should i be a claims adjuster?
I am an insurance producer and want to get to know other aspects of the insurance industry. I was thinking of becoming a claims adjuster but i would first like to know more about the work itself. How flexible is it? Approx salary? Is it better to work for a company or be independent? What is the day of a claims adjuster like? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

As a former claim adjuster for 10 years, I NEVER EVER worked 40 hours. I usually worked an average of 50 to 60 hours a week to catch up or stay afloat. When you are hired or in most companies they will state the goal is to get 10/20 new claims a week, but will find that number is not close and could be doing double... More
