Are there aeronautical engineers in the auto industry?

I've been planning on majoring in aeronautical engineering and I was just wondering what kinds of jobs/industries usually need people with degrees in this field? I know a majority of aeronautical engineers end up in aircraft industries like Boeing and NASA, but I'm pretty sure my options aren't just limited to designing airplanes and jets. Don't auto industries also need engineers with experience in aeronautics and aerodynamics to design better cars? Are there any other industries that might need aeronautical engineers?

The short answer is no. You can get a job somewhere else, but don't expect to be doing any aeronautical engineering unless you're building something related to flight. For example, aerodynamics isn't that unique to aeronautical engineering. It's just a special case of fluid dynamics.
