Conservatives - So you forgot about a regular guy getting a small business loan and then becoming rich?
Bill Gates didn't start rich. He started a business to meet the demand for personal computers. Then became rich. Then provided (not created) jobs. Do you guys see the progression now? Unfortunately the republicans do crap like this: http://www.businessweek.com/news/2010-07-29/republicans-block-small-business-lending-measure.html Now who is hurting the US economy? Be honest now. Jason Jackson - You also don't understand what "assumed risk" is about. And also cost analysis. Go take an economics class already!

So you're saying that Bill could have done all the work by himself ?? See...that's where he " created " jobs. He didn't become RICH first and then provided jobs...he CREATED jobs and got rich.

You do know that the Democrats hold majority in Senate right now, right? That article is lying when it places the blame on Republicans.

Bill Gates was an upper middle class prep school kid with a lawyer daddy and a board of directors for First Interstate BancSystem and the United Way mommy who gave him cash to start the business. Not really a good example, Andrew Carnegie or John D. Rockefeller are better examples of self made rich. Bill gates... More

Please read up on Bill Gates. He has always had a passion for computers and made choices in his life to attain professional success. If more people held to Bill Gates' ideals and not feed their personal interests during all waking moments, then we would have a lot more success stories out there.

Democrats are traditionally hostile to small businesses. Obama has attacked Chamber of commerce. As for the article, I agree with the Republicanss. Obama has a bad habit of forcing laws to be passed quickly with out reading it, and not making sure that loopholes are closed. He screwed up Obamacare, and he... More

He started a business. And ran the business (which subsequently made him rich) by himself? Or did he hire people as his ideas created/fed a nitch in the market. He and his efforts and ideas created those jobs. They did not exist prior to his actions.
