What do you think will be the real result of extending the tax cuts?

I know the argument has been that the tax cut extension, specifically for the rich, will increase the number of jobs. However, the debate makes it seem like extending the tax cut is something new and will produce something new. Isn’t it really just keeping the “Status Quo”? Another hot issue for Americans is paying off the debt and cutting spending. Won’t the tax cut increase spending and add to the debt? Shouldn’t we being trying something different or something new if we expect a change?

The real result? We will all pay less taxes. That's what I think anyway. I could be wrong.

Nobody is proposing any income tax cuts, merely extensions of current rates. By definition, this means the tax code will be neither stimulative nor contractionary. However, there are many other factors at work in the economy.

The reality is the government doesn't need money from our taxes. They can just print whatever money they need and call it a day. It's all about how much can they oppress the people. They want to "punish" the wealthy but in doing so, screw over everyone else. What a bunch of dick heads.

A bigger drain on the economy. Unemployment gets extended, Obamacare goes into place, The banks are paying back the TARP loans with IOUs yet the Rich pay less taxes, Corporations pay less taxes and the Fed keeps printing monopoly money.

How will more of the same increase jobs? The extension is merely saving more jobs from being lost. Can you imagine if we all had to bear more expenses in the form of increased taxation... More
