How the hell did Phil Hughes get picked with his current form?

His form has been very average of late, his technique is abysmal and the poms have his number. Hilditch needs to be sacked immediately, do you agree? @Moorthy - No more chances! he was dropped in the Ashes in England and told to change his technique and he did not. He is not an openers back side and it is obvious. It would be like me telling your lot to stick with Jadeja

I agree, he should never have been selected. He needs to spend a good 12 months improving his technique (Something he should have done in the 18 months he has been out of the team) before he should be reconsidered as an option. Phil Jaques or Liam Davis would have been better options to fill Simon Katichs' shoes while... More

Hilditch should have gone before now. It would have been interesting to see how Hughes would have finished up in England had he been given the chance. Al we're seeing now is the result of dropping him but keeping others in. I hope they persevere with him for the series.

Must agree with Moorthy on this one except about Hughes. As I said in your other Q he'll be in good company with Ponting & Clarke.

I was hoping he was going to do well this time as he warms the seat for Katich, still has a few innings to go.
