I am majoring in criminal justice and im color blinded.Do i have limited jobs?

After i finish college,i was planning on being a police officer.But now im worried because im color blinded and i might get disqualified.Also my degree would be waste because im color blinded.Any advice would really help:) Thank you!

I would think it would be a handicap for that job since you have to describe things in detail and color at times or be on the look out for a certain color car thats stolen for example etc.

It depends on the degree of color blindness. Are you totally color blind or red-green color blind? It is best to ask you career counselor since they are knowledgeable on these things.

It will certainly be an issue for being a police officer. But there are many other jobs available in criminal justice: probation/parole officer, corrections are avenues that are worthy of consideration.
