How to become a race car driver?

My lawyer told me that I should get a job as it will improve my chances of not going to jail. I have never really had a job before. How would I go about becoming a professional race car driver? It is the only thing I can think of that I would like.

drive in circles a lot. learn how to drift, just dont do it on the streets

you just don't walk in off the street and get a chance to drive a race car professionally. it takes years of racing at the local level, working your way up through the ranks until someday you have enough money to go pro or get lucky enough to get noticed by a good team. even at the local level it takes allot of money... Getting a good job will also improve your chances of becoming a race car driver, and you actually have a better chance of becoming a lawyer than a professional race car driver, it will be cheaper and require a lot less skill.
