How difficult will it be getting a job as a film editor?

How difficult will it be getting a job as a film editor? I'm deciding between going to film school and taking a more secure job in health care. Very contrasting careers, I know.

If I were you, I'd go with health care! You'll have a better chance at getting a job in healthcare than the film business. Plus, filmmaking is very expensive. After the healthcare job, when you accumulate enough money to support yourself and film school and equipment, then go for the film editor... More

Follow the dream, not the mediocre life. You can do it! Just watch out for Russell Crowe, let him know if you're going to edit his work.

Very difficult: I suggest that you take an aptitude test. An aptitude test assesses your skills and your interests and matches you to the careers that are right for you. Hope this helps.

Getting job as an video editor would be extremely tough. There would be more surety of getting job in health care. You can choose the latest trend that is health care IT field. It is a very suitable career option that applies IT in health care.
