how does a new RN find a job?

Im going to be a doing a bsn program to become a nurse however ive noitced that many of the RN jobs require a minimum of 1-2 years experience. If im a new graduate what jobs are availiable to me to get this experience ? How hard will it be to find a job ?

I would highly recommend you secure a part-time or PRN (as needed) position as a Patient Care Tech or Unit Secretary in a local hospital while you are taking the prerequisites for your nursing degree. I don't know how difficult it may be since I don't know the degree of competition. Clearly, if you were the employer, you would prefer experience over a newbie. That said, you just need to work a little harder selling yourself. It gets done all the time

I graduated with an ADN in May 2009. The only work i've gotten is flu clinic for 2 months. Your chances of finding work in a metro area are slim and none. I'm not joking I mean it.
