Is there any law in place for working pregnant women and job dutys such as lifting heavy objects?

I am 30 weeks pregnant and I am a nurses assistant my job requires lots of running back an forth for 12 hours, pushing wheel chairs and streatchers. I work at a hospital with lots of labor and delivery patients. My coworkers and supervisor seem unconcerned about changing up my job dutys while pregnant. Is there a law in place regarding this?

No, pregnant women is not a protected class. You can ask for lighter duties. You can even back that up with a note from your doctor. It is stilll up to you employer to accomodate you. If he can't, then he doesn't have to employ you. Take care

No your job description does NOT change because you are pregnant. The law does not state you get special treatment. If you cannot fulfill your job duties then it is time to quit
