How do you become a medical billing and coding speciailist?

Right now I'm going to apply to college and I really want to be a pediatrician, but it takes too much time and money. So I want to start out small like becoming a medical billing and coding specialist, but I don't know how. Can anyone help me on what classes I need to take and tell me how many years does it take to become a medical billing special. Please and thank you. I go to Valencia at Orlando, Florida.
