OPENING A BANQUET/RECEPTION HALL...for weddings, quinceañeras, etc.?

I live in Houston and am interested in opening my own reception hall. But I'd like to know how to start??? Here are a few things I have in mind... Getting a loan for about $100,000. Either building it from scratch or refurbishing an existing company. My sister works for a concrete company (family owned), and they've told us multiple times they'd help us out. My uncle is a chef and has his own cafe and staff, and has told us he's interested in working with us. My friend will soon be opening her own bakery (for now she works from home), but she also would like to work with us. My cousin and friend are DJ's, and both would like to DJ for us. My cousin owns her own cleaning company and says she can work with us, too!!! I myself am a party planner (unlicensed, but I've done jobs here and there). What are the main steps into owning my own reception hall??

If a "paid" job comes up you may get pushed to the side a little. Friends are great and we had many many friends help us to start a bakery, but the help lasted... More
