Is an insurance claims case manager the same thing as a claims adjuster?
I am thinking of applying for a job as a "claims case manager," and am wondering if this is the same thing as an aadjuster or different. Thanks.

A case manager, is usually someone who deals with workers comp or ongoing injuries. A claims adjuster can be a case manager, but usually the case manager is the person who liasons between the insurance adjuster, the medical providers, the employer, and an injured worker.

Sounds like you have never worked in insurance. Many companies can use different titles. 1 could be claims adjuster, 1 could be claims representative or 1 could be claims coordinator, but could be basically the same thing. The key in this job is "manager" meaning they are like a supervisor or over a claims adjuster... More
