What are my chances of being accepted to these top-tier schools?
Hi I'm a Junior this year, and I just wanted some feedback about my chances at these schools: Georgetown University(McDonough) Carnegie Mellon University (Tepper) UPenn ED (Arts and Science) Dartmouth College New York University (Stern) Boston College (Carroll) Northwestern University (Weinberg) Duke University Cornell SAT I : Retaking January. Aiming 2150+ SAT II: Chemistry(740) . Biology-M(690). Will take Math II and U.S. History this June Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 3.7-ish Weighted GPA: 4.44 [Regular A= 4. Honors/AP A= 5 ] Rank : School does not rank AP : Taking Micro, Macro, and U.S. History this year Senior Year Course Load: (Hopefully) AP Comp. Sci, APES, AP Calc BC, AP Spanish, AP Chem, Gym, Lunch, Art elective Awards: Congressional Award (Bronze) . Various FBLA regional awards for competitions.(4th place Technology Concepts, 7th Place Intro to Business) FBLA National Finance Challenge- Outstanding Performance. 7-year piano award. PSAT Commended Scholar. 4th Place American Tennis League Tournament. Part of Honor Roll at my school. Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis): Future Business Leaders of America (President). (90+ members) Eco Club( secretary, VP,). (60+ members) JV Basketball (10,11[captain]) . (~250 hours per season) Varsity Golf (9,10 . Qualified for counties[9,10] Qualified for Shore Conference  Qualified for States ) (~300 hours per season) Will be FBLA president next year hopefully, Eco Club co-president next year, and will most likely make varsity golf again this spring. Played piano for 8 years. Attended Chinese school for 8 years. Certified Life Guard. National Honor Society for 2 years. Spanish Honor Society for 2 years. Wrote articles for school newspaper. Job/Work Experience: Golf Counselor over the summer Volunteer/Community service: 110 hours Summer Activities: Georgetown Leadership & Ethics 1 week camp . Brown University Alternative Energy Engineering 2 week camp. Cornell Golf 1 week camp . Penn State stock market 1 week camp. You have a good chance at these colleges but no sure thing. Your best shots will be at BC and NYU. Would suggest also applyig to Colgate and Holy Cross which are also top tier but get slightly less applications so a bit easier to get into. Both have strong alumni networks and strong presence on Wall Street.

Being a BC student, I could only comment on that, but your chances seem pretty good. Carroll is hard to get into, but if your SATI scores get higher, you may have a pretty good shot. Do good on macro and micro, and that will make your life much much easier. Good luck!
