Hood cannot be closed?
I got into a minor accident and now the hood cannot be closed completely. Hence, the engine is visible and water can come in if it rains. Does it affect the car? Im really worried so please help me

borrow or buy a piece of logging chain and a 20 foot length of heavy duty with hooks on it out of wall mart tie the chain to a phone pole or some other big tree or something and carefully attach the hooks to someplace solid that will hold. then using the cars weight to help back up and try to pull things straighten. do... If it gets on the electronics it can cause problems. If it gets on the exhaust manifold, it can crack it causing a leak. if it gets sucked into the engine through the oil filter, it will kill your engine

Get it fixed or park it. It could blow open on the road and cause another accident

The other poster has valid points, but it will really depend on the angle that it is open. If you are concerned with water getting into the ignition, then just buy a roll of duck tape for 3 bucks and put a couple of strips of that across the front. That will direct the water down and away.
