Is a DUI conviction going to stop me from getting a job offer?

I had a Dui conviction 2 year ago. I recently interview for a finance analyst position with a big organization called IATA (international air transportation association). I got a job offer. They are doing background check. Will The Dui will stop me from getting the job?

It really depends on the job classification and the state where you are in. For those who need to drive all the time, it will be a major consideration factor. In addition to how the others have answered this question, I would think that a job offer may also be rescinded if there was a question during the application process asking you to disclose any convictions. If you answered that you have not had any and the DUI conviction comes up, it may be seen as falsifying... More
