How do I get my friends to give me gas money? ?
I go out of my way for people, tell them I have to pay for gas and I can't afford it, and they're my friend, but half of them don't have a car (since I'm in high school and my job gives me NO hours some weeks) and they just ignore me, probably because I drive them anyway and don't realize that of I go out of my way dropping you off from school EVERYDAY it will add up. How can I say no to giving people rides to my friends? I barely have gas in my tank but teenagers just don't take no for an answer. The worst part? All my friends don't pay for they're gas.

this is an easy one, unfortunately, you should have made it clear from the beginning , but here is the deal, first your friends are taking you for granted, and second are using you. This sucks, Think about how much running around you do, and costs add up besides gas and oil, it costs money for car repairs, I had... More

Don't drive them. They are taking you for granted and you shouldn't allow it. You put your foot down and don't tell them that you aren't driving them unless money is paid towards the gas. Or you can just let them take you for granted.

Just tell your friends that you might have to think about not talkin the car to school because you cant afford the gas. If your other friends drive why dont you all talk about about driving week about as in yourself drives to school one week and the next your friend will drive you?

Have your friends got cellphones? If so then ask if you can borrow one of their phones and say you need to call England. Say you would do it on your own phone, but "y'know, it's expensive and stuff". See how they react to that... More

Just explain that you can only afford to pay your own way, and it is your responsibility to take care of yourself first. Then tell them that yolu can give them a ride ONLY if they give you gas money (make them pay up front if you want to avoid them lying). Teenagers don't take no for an answer until you show them there... More
