What is being a teacher in PA like ?

i currently live in NY but would like to move to PA. Should i got get my degree in NY or do you think I should go to college in PA and get my degree ?

I think you asked the same a few months ago. Here is the answer I gave then. Little has changed. As long as your teacher preparation program in NY meets the PA certification requirements it is ok to go to NY. You can also check out PA programs. PA is a huge state. Being a teacher in an inner city School in Philadelphia is different from teaching in a private school in the suburbs or a rural school in farm or coal mining areas. If you want to teach in PA, you should definitely get your certification here. Just know that it's tough to get a teaching job here.
