What is the basics that you need to know about US politics?

Recently, I've been very interested in American politics, but there's a lot of thing to learn about US politics ( Congress, House of Representatives, Senate, Republic etc). I'm so confused about all these and I'm not from US. I just want to learn the basics, step by step. Anyone willing to help me out?
