How do you get the motivation to do exercise to help with depression when you have no energy?

I know that getting exercise is good for depression and can help give you more energy. But how do you get the energy to do exercise in the first place when you have so little energy, all you feel like doing is sleeping?

That is a good question. The thing is, if you have been diagnosed with depression by a doctor, your medication should help to revive your energy levels. been there, got through it... i made a friend go with me to the gym, even on days i was really down in the dumps she MADE me get up and go lol was good after the gym, ALWAYS felt like i accomplished something and i was ALWAYS in a good mood :)
