How much did you make just after graduating college?

I just graduated college in Decemeber with a BA in English Adolescence Education. Teaching jobs are scarce, and I am looking around at other jobs. I'd like to be an administrative assistant or an editorial assistant, but have not yet been hired for any of these positions. I am looking at a job as a secretary/typist making $24k a year... I am feeling like a loser. How much did you make right after graduating college? What was your major? And how has your salary/career changed since then?

$31k a year... though I hit the job market about a year and a half before the economy got really bad, so companies were paying a lot better. Major was web development. I was up to $33k for awhile but after they cut pay company-wide, I'm down to $32k.
